Can I grow a healthy Green Wall in my home?

Absolutely. In reality, a living wall in your home can be designed with the right set of plants to suit location and aspect. South and West aspects produce a higher growth rate than East and North facing spaces and plant species are matched to their environment. Your green wall would begin to improve the quiality of indoor air, providing natural oxygen and balancing humidy levels. You could even grow a few herb plants for cooking in some of the green wall plant pockets.

How do I water my Living Wall?

Our large and medium sized green walls are have fully automated watering systems. The water is stored in a trough at the base and a small pump lifts the water up through a network of small pipes and drips into each individual plant pocket on the wall. The system has an electronic timer and the whole process only requires you to keep the trough topped up to the designated level. The timer is adjusted for Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter seasons to make sure plants are receiving the correct volume of water.

Are Green Walls hard to maintain?

Once your new Green Wall has been installed, the water trough filled and the irrigation timer switched on there are a few regular maintenance tasks to carry out to keep the plants healthy. Keep a check of how the plants are doing and regularly trim away any brown leaves stems, and flower heads. Empty the water from the trough once every two months and fill with clean water. At the same time, clean the pump. All of these tasks can be done yourself or we offer an optional annual maintenance package to our customers, where we visit your Green Wall once a month and keep it looking great.
